'Bangla Banchao' Yatra Signals a Political Reset in West Bengal

The CPI (M)'s 'Bangla Banchao' (Save Bengal) Yatra, launched on November 29, is proving to be a significant political event that is altering the political agenda of West Bengal. The campaign has fundamentally redirected the state's political discourse by focusing on the crucial issues of corruption and division. The yatra, which began in Tufanganj, Cooch Behar, is scheduled to span 19 days and cover at least 65 kilometres across North Bengal.

Protests against Government decision to implement Labour Codes

Protests in Tripura against attack on rally by BJP goons  A large number of people took to the streets in Tripura to vent their anger against the barbaric attack on a procession by BJP-backed goons in Dharmanagar right in front of police on November 26, in which 12 people including former CPI(M) MLA Amitabha Datta and senior party leader Ratan Roy were injured. On November 28, Agartala, the state capital, roared as thousands marched with red flags. A strong demand was raised for the arrest and exemplary punishment of the BJP miscreants involved in the attack.

Reach the Unreached through United Struggles of Working People

The country witnessed well-attended protests by the workers and peasants on November 26, 2025, the fifth anniversary of the historic united struggle - the general strike, grameen hartal and Delhi Chalo called by Samyukta Kisan Morcha as well as the Central Trade Unions. In 2020-21 the concerted attack on the productive classes - the workers and peasants - in the form of the pro-corporate labour codes and the farm laws was resolutely fought back. It involved a prolonged militant united struggle lasting 380 days amidst a pandemic and also, martyrdom of 736 protesting farmers.

Brutal murder of Comrade K Penchalaiah by Drug Mafia in Nellore

CPI(M) activist and peoples’ artist Com. K. Penchalaiah was brutally murdered by anti-social elements in the business of peddling ganja and other drugs. The dastardly attack took place in Nellore town of Andhra Pradesh on November 28. Com. Penchalaiah was the DYFI area secretary previously and currently the secretary of the Praja Natya Mandali (people’s theatre organisation).Com. Penchalaiah had been relentlessly carrying out campaigns against ganja and drug peddling in RDT colony, the area where he lived, and also in other parts of Nellore.

Withdraw Labour Codes and Anti-Farmer Policies: Nationwide protest by TUs and Samyukt Kisan Morcha

At the call of the Joint Platform of Central Trade Unions and Sectoral Federations and the Samyukt Kisan Morcha, massive protests took place all over the country against the four labour codes and the anti-farmer policies of the central government in the formal and informal sectors, in government, public sector enterprises, and industrial areas, in rural India and also at block-sub-division levels by informal sector workers, agricultural labour and farmers and other sections of common people.
