People of Kerala are Poised to Create History

AN explicit wave in favour of the Left Democratic Front is visible across Kerala where the assembly elections are going to be held on April 6. The leadership and rank and file of the LDF are confident of making a historic victory through re-election of an incumbent government. As LDF is certain of mobilising the people to victory, the opposition UDF seems aimless and is making false allegations against the government.

KERALA: Social Security and the Left Alternative

TWO recent reports submitted in the Lok Sabha by parliamentary standing committees on rural development and agriculture give an unflattering picture of the current state of the flagship pension schemes undertaken by the union government, shedding light on the reality that is masked by campaign slogans like ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas’. The gains made by the LDF government in Kerala make for a study in contrast.

TN: Vote to AIADMK is a Vote to BJP, RSS : CPI(M)

AS the campaign for the ensuing state assembly elections is underway, senior CPI(M) leaders undertook a whirlwind tour in many parts of Tamil Nadu over the last fortnight. WEST Bengal is in the throes of the most crucial assembly elections which proposes to be a turning point in the history of the state. TAMIL NADU: DMK led Progressive Secular Front Marching towards Victory

GENERAL Elections for the 16th Tamil Nadu legislative assembly is taking place on April 6. Tamil Nadu elections had always been a binary between the AIADMK on one side and the DMK on the other since 1972. This particular election is unique in that the very popular and experienced leaders like K Karunanidhi and J Jayalalithaa are not available as the leaders of their respective fronts. However, there is neither any lag of enthusiasm nor less electioneering by the present leadership of those parties.

West Bengal: Regenerated Left Campaign

THE Left Front sounded the poll bugle from the mega rally held at the historic Brigade Parade Ground on February 28. The tone and tenor of the campaign for the elections was set at this rally by CPI(M) general secretary, Sitaram Yechury when he said in no uncertain terms that the people of Bengal did not need a government that divides people based on their religion, caste or creed nor do they need a government that indulges in looting the common people. He said Bengal needs a government that will work for the welfare of the poorest of the poor, the exploited, and the marginalised people.
