WB: CPI(M) Holds Symposium on 'India Today, Our Tasks'

THE reinvigoration of the Left in Bengal shall enthuse people’s movement across the country, and augment the struggle to oust BJP from the centre which is our primary task, said Sitaram Yechury, general secretary of CPI (M) while addressing a packed auditorium, at Pramod  Dasgupta Bhawan in Kolkata on the occasion of the 102nd anniversary of the formation of the Communist Party of India as an émigré unit in Tashkent in 1920. The meeting was presided over by CPI(M) Polit Bureau member Suryakanta Mishra.

Kerala: Balasangham Workshop Discusses Scientific Thought, Reasoning

BALASANGHAM, a children's organisation of Kerala, organised an all-India workshop for young minds at the EMS Academy in Thiruvananthapuram to create scientific awareness and equip them with the logic of reasoning, to take on future challenges facing the society. The workshop was a new experience for children who were exuberant with a fighting spirit. The workshop was filled with playfulness, scientific thought, and debates based on reason.

They got the legitimate right to loot and exploit. 212 years after this Act, in 2005 the Left, supported by other democratic forces at the time of the UPA-I government, proposed a new legislation - The Scheduled Tribes (Recognition of Forest Rights) Act, 2005.

Delhi: CPI(M) Demands Action on Hate Speakers

The CPI(M) Delhi state committee, in a statement issued on October 10, has strongly condemned the West Delhi BJP MP Parvesh Verma’s act of calling for ‘total boycott’ of the Muslim community at a meeting organised by the VHP on October 9. He openly exhorted the audience not to buy anything from Muslims and not to pay them wages. Adding further fuel to the fire, the VHP joint secretary Surendra Jain accused one community (read Muslims) of trying to turn Delhi into a mini Pakistan.

MP: AIKS Holds its State Conference

THE AIKS Madhya Pradesh state conference was held at Rayru village in Gwalior district from September 23-25, 2022. It was attended by 198 delegates from 15 districts. They included several adivasi, dalit, women and youth peasants. The average age of the delegation was 50 years, which reflects activities in kisan andolan and its consolidation. It was an enthusiastic and fruitful conference. 

AP: AIDWA Conference Flags Declining Security for Women

STEEP price rise and the declining security for women in the country have become the toughest challenges for Indian women, concluded the AIDWA state conference held at Dr Seshareddy Vignana Kendram in Nellore, Andhra Pradesh from September 24- 26.

About 300 delegates representing two lakh members attended the conference which kickstarted with an impressive rally on the first day. Workers, youth, and student organisations have showered petals on the marching AIDWA members to express their solidarity.
