80th Anniversary of the Victory over Fascism

Celebrating the 80th anniversary of the historic victory over fascism, the Communist Party of the Russian Federation (CPRF) organised an International Anti-Fascist Forum, from April 21-25, in Moscow. This author participated in the programme as a representative of the Communist Party of India (Marxist).THIS May 9th the entire world will be observing the 80th anniversary of the victory over fascism. It is on this day in 1945, the Soviet Union’s Red Army hoisted the Red Flag over the Reichstag in Berlin, after comprehensively defeating Hitler’s fascist hordes.

WHETHER it is neoliberalism or neoconservatism, as seen with the rise of Trump, it fundamentally serves to protect the hegemony of the rentier class while increasing the burden on working people. What is New in Neo-fascism?

THE use of the term neo-fascism by CPI(M) referring to the current regime in India has ignited a serious debate within the Left as well as other sections of our country. Certainly, the political nature of any regime should be analysed primarily on the basis of its class composition, contradictions and political-economic content, and not the degree of repression unleashed by the State.
