Kerala Collects Rs 6.06 Cr for Tripura

THE CPI(M)'s fundraiser campaign in Kerala to express solidarity to their comrades in Tripura who are fighting against the BJP fascist attack, has culminated in a huge success.  Party workers and sympathizers joined together in the hundi (bucket) collection on September 25and contributed Rs 6,06,52,223(six crores, six lakhs, fifty two thousand, two hundred twenty three rupees).

 

TELANGANA: CITU Padayatra Demands Minimum Wages, Restoration of Labour Rights

THE Telangana state committee of the CITU organised a 22-day padayatra covering a distance of 400 km across industrial hubs in the five districts around Hyderabad on the demands of minimum wages and restoration of workers’ rights. A four-member team consisting of S Veeraiah, P Jayalakshmi, Paladugu Bhaskar and Bhoopal undertook the padayatra. While travelling from Koyyalagudem to Pochampalli, the marchers came across a board at the entrance of a company which reads in Telugu: ‘Nee edupe naa edugudala’, or ‘As you shed tears, so I prosper’.

TN: Tripura violence, Political Parties Condemn BJP

MINDLESS violence unleashed on the cadres and the offices of CPI(M) in Tripura on September 8 was condemned by the people of Tamil Nadu in various ways. Many demonstrations were held across the state since September 10 condemning the BJP for unleashing the reign of terror. Barring BJP, all political parties and democratic organisations came forward to participate in the protest demonstration held at ValluvarKottam, Chennai on September 24.

All-India Strike of Scheme Workers

THE scheme workers organised a successful all-India strike on September 24. The Joint Platform of Scheme Workers’ Federations congratulated them for the magnificent show of strength. Lakhs of scheme workers mainly the Anganwadi, ASHA and Mid-day Meal workers struck work and held demonstrations, dharnas, rallies etc at district/block centres throughout the country. In spite of repressions and efforts to sabotage the strike and mobilisations, strike was successful in almost all the states including Gujarat and Jammu and Kashmir.

Historic Bharat Bandh Wins Massive Response

THE Bharat Bandh on September 27, 2021 was truly historic. In breadth, sweep and intensity, it surpassed the earlier two Bharat Bandhs in solidarity with the unprecedented farmers’ struggle, on December 8, 2020 and March 26, 2021. It was called by the Samyukta Kisan Morcha (SKM) to coincide with the completion of 10 months and 305 days of this struggle, which has led to 605 kisan martyrs so far.
