SKM’s Kisan Tractor Parades Receive Massive Support

THE call for ‘Kisan Tractor Vehicle Parades’ on January 26, Republic Day, given by the Samyukta Kisan Morcha (SKM) to end corporate loot, save agriculture and save India was observed on an unprecedented scale and fervour with massive participation across India. Braving inclement weather, especially in North India, tens of thousands of tractors and other vehicles joined millions of farmers in the parades.

Lenin Death Centenary Observed in Delhi

ON January 24, 2024, on the occasion of centenary of Lenin's death, CPI(M) Delhi state committee organised a public meeting at Surjeet Bhawan. The public meeting was addressed by Sitaram Yechury, general secretary of CPI(M). Along with this, drama, exhibition, singing of revolutionary songs and a movie screening was conducted.Addressing the public meeting, Sitaram said that Comrade Lenin, the revolutionary star of human liberation, had died at the age of just 54. Marx had said that philosophers have interpreted the world, but the real point is to change it.

Karnataka: Souharda Karnataka Holds Human Chains to Safeguard Social Harmony

ON January 30, observing the Martyrs' Day, ‘Souharda Karnataka’ (Harmonious Karnataka) human chains were formed across the state, with over one lakh people gathering at more than 100 locations. In Bangalore alone, human chains were formed at over 20 locations, overcoming police restrictions, while 10 locations in coastal Udupi witnessed the same display of unity. The central human chain extended from the Kuvempu Statue to the Gandhi Statue at Freedom Park in Bangalore.
