THE Left Front has written an open letter to Tripura chief minister Biplab Kumar Deb objecting to his “grossly unparliamentary and undemocratic” remarks egging on BJP cadres to annihilate the Communists from the state before the 2023 assembly election. The Left Front also highlighted the government’s failure on all fronts – be it tackling the coronavirus pandemic or employment generation or maintaining law and order.

THE peasantry in Punjab is continuously on struggle against the anti-peasant, anti- nation and pro-corporate agriculture Bills passed undemocratically by the Modi led BJP government in the Parliament. All organisations of farmers and agricultural workers with different banners and ideologies have come together to get the three Farm Acts rejected and withdrawn. Entire rural population in Punjab irrespective of their profession is against these Acts.

ON October 12, the people of Tripura solemnly remembered eleven CPI(M) leaders and workers who, alongwith two security personnel, laid down their lives in Birchandramanu in southern Tripura in 1988 to keep the red flag flying. The killing took place under the Congress-TUJS tyrannical regime, which was the product of a sinister and secret pre-election deal between then prime minister Rajiv Gandhi and Bijoy Kumar Hrangkhawl, the supremo of the erstwhile TNV, an outlawed secessionist extremist outfit.

ELECTION manifesto for the Bihar elections was released in the state party office by the CPI(M) state secretary, Awadesh Kumar. Along with him, Arun Mishra, Sarvodaya Sharma, Rampari and Ganesh Shankar Singh were also present. A party's website and an app were also released in the same press conference. Awadesh Kumar placed the relevance of the present election in the state and the imminent need for the defeat of the JD(U) & BJP alliance.
