A SEMINAR was organised on " Kashmir Files and Communalism" in Chennai on April 12, at Sir P T Thyagaraja Hall, T Nagar, Chennai, on behalf of the Tamil Nadu Platform for People's Unity.While speaking in the seminar, Mohammad Yousuf Tarigami, Central Committee Member of the CPI(M), asked the BJP government, what did they achieve after dividing and downgrading Jammu and Kashmir? After India's independence, considering the future of Jammu and Kashmir, the Constituent Assembly of India had given certain rights to the Jammu and Kashmir people through the Constitution of India.

A FACT finding team from the Left parties (CPI(M), CPI, CPI(ML), Forward Block) visited the communal violence affected areas of Jahangirpuri-C block on April 17, 2022. The following is a report after talking to the affected people and residents of the area belonging to both communities. The delegation interacted with at least 50 households.

THE 23rd state conference of Tamil Nadu CPI(M) was held in Madurai from March 30 to April 1. A day before the conference on March 29, an exhibition depicting the history of the communist movement was inaugurated by M A Baby, Polit Bureau Member of the Party. Comrade Mythili Sivaraman was the name of the venue for the exhibition.While inaugurating the exhibition, M A Baby said that the idea of equality existed in every era of human history. In India, when we think about the struggles for equality, many will recall places like Bengal and Andhra.

ON March 21, a big meeting under the banner of the CPI(M) Madhepura district committee was held at Rajni village where landless people have been living for the last 50 years on 300 acres of land. Patna High Court has also given its verdict in favour of these landless people. But a new claimant has arrived on the scene and with the active connivance of the local police, he along with his goons are threatening the people with dire consequences. But the residents are equally determined to save their land with red flags in their hands.
