North Bengal: Grand Chessboard of BJP-TMC

IN the districts of the northern part of West Bengal i.e., in North Bengal, a controversy is being purposefully raised to create an atmosphere of confusion. It is being floated by some media and some intellectuals that North Bengal will be made a separate state or union territory.  It is even being said that some parts of Assam and Bihar, would be taken into the new  union territory that would be carved out. Not only that, various opinions are being propagated through various media channels on the basis of a map of the so-called proposed union territory.

Maasive Loss due to Lumpy Skin Disease

A COW belonging to a farmer, Jaidev of Matani village in Haryana's Bhiwani district , bordering Rajasthan died of Lumpy skin disease. The death of Jaidev's cow caused him not only a loss of Rs 45 to 50 thousand ( tentative price of that cow giving 16 litres milk per day) but also around Rs 10 thousand spent on its unsuccessful treatment . His second cow was also infected with Lumpy . Though it survived, but there was a reduction in  milk production. Mahavir of village Gullarpur in Karnal district of Haryana lost a cow with 9-10 litre milk per day causing the family tremendous distress .

AIKS Odisha State Conference

THE 24th AIKS Odisha state conference was held at Brahmagiri in Puri district on November 15-16, 2022. It began with a rally of hundreds of peasants, followed by a public meeting.  It included a good number of women and youth. It was presided over by AIKS state president Yameswar Samantaray, and it was addressed by AIKS president Ashok Dhawale, joint secretaries Vijoo Krishnan and Amal Haldar, state secretary Suresh Panigrahy, and state vice president Jagannath Mishra. November 15, the day of the rally, was the birth anniversary of the legendary Adivasi freedom fighter Birsa Munda.

Gujarat: SFI Holds State Conference

AFTER a long hiatus of 33 years, the state Conference of SFI's Gujarat state unit was held on November 6, 2022 in Ahmedabad and it was SFI Gujarat's third state conference. The second conference of SFI Gujarat was held at Sidhpur (Patan) on January 31-February 1, 1989. The third conference was inaugurated by V P Sanu SFI, all India president and Nitheesh Narayanan, SFI central secretariat member. Arun Mehta, CITU Gujarat state secretary and Hitendra Bhatt, AIIEA joint secretary, Satish Parmar, CITU Gujarat state president had extended revolutionary greetings to the SFI conference.
