Rollback LPG Cylinder Price Hike

CPI(M) Polit Bureau has issued the following statement on March 01THE Polit Bureau of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) strongly condemns yet another hike in the price of domestic LPG cylinder by Rs 50 from today. This hike burdens the people further when the prices of all food and essential commodities are rising relentlessly.With this hike, more people will dropout from using subsidiSed cooking gas cylinders as they simply cannot afford it. Already, over 10 per cent of those under Ujjwala Yojana have not taken any refill cylinders during the last year.

Supreme Court Verdict on Demonetisation

CPI(M) Polit Bureau has issued the following statement January 2THE verdict of the five member constitution bench on the 2016 demonetisation cannot be interpreted as upholding this move.In the majority judgment, the Supreme Court has exclusively dealt with the legal right of the central government to take such a decision and that it does not violate Section 26(2) of RBI Act 1934. The dissenting opinion of one of the honourable judges maintained that this section of the RBI Act says that the RBI must recommend to the government to initiate demonetisation.

Damning Indictment

CPI(M) Polit Bureau has issued the following statement on December 14THE new report released by an internationally reputed digital forensic analysis company (Arsenal Consulting) that fake documents later used as evidence of his “anti-national” activities were planted in the computer of Father Stan Swamy between the years 2017 to 2019. Father Stan was under surveillance from 2014. Forty files were placed in his computer during this period which he had never accessed according to the forensic report.
