BJP Govt’s Eleven Years of Betrayal: Kharif MSP Way below Promised C2+50%

THE Minimum Support Price (MSP) announced for the Kharif season 2025-26 by the BJP led union government is yet another betrayal by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi; to be precise for the eleventh Kharif in a row. The BJP government has made tall claims that it has given a major boost to farmers by approving a MSP package worth Rs 2.07 lakh crore for the Kharif season of 2025-26. The corporate media has immediately joined the bandwagon and parroted the claim that the new MSP ensures at least 50 per cent profit over the cost of production.

CHIEF of Air Staff (CoAS) Air Chief Marshall A P Singh, just last week, repeated his concerns about lack of timely deliveries of military equipment, and what he termed the “futility” of contracts without on-time delivery adversely affecting defence preparedness. Maharastra: Comrade Lahanu Kom

VETERAN leader of the CPI(M) and the All India Kisan Sabha (AIKS) in Maharashtra, Comrade Lahanu Shidva Kom, ex-MP and ex-MLA, passed away early this morning on May 28, 2025 after a brief illness. He was 86 years old. He leaves behind his wife Hemlata (also a Party and AIDWA leader), a son, a daughter, and three grandchildren.Lahanu Kom was born on November 10, 1938 in an adivasi poor peasant family of Aagwan village in Dahanu tehsil in Palghar district.

The Guns Are Again Ablaze in Libya

ON May 12, 2025, Abdul Ghani al-Kikli, known to everyone in Libya as Ghnewa al-Kikli, was killed during a meeting inside a militia facility run by the 444th Combat Brigade in Tripoli. Ghnewa, as he was called, led the Stability Support Appartus (SSA), which had ruled parts of Tripoli, and indeed sections of northern Libya, with an iron fist. The leader of the 444 Brigade, Major General Mahmoud Hamza, celebrated his troops for ‘overthrowing the Ghnewa Empire’.
