The nature of attacks expose that they are centrally planned and fascistic in character. The attacks are directed against the Party and Left forces in order to immobilise our Party organisation and our comrades completely and to prevent them from contacting the working people.
AN impressive rally of Red Shirt volunteers was held on April 22, signaling the culmination of the 22nd Congress of the Communist Party of India (Marxist). The most significant aspect of the rally was it predominantly constituted of young comrades, who are below 25 years of age. More than thousand drummers matched the marching Red Shirt volunteers with their rhythmic beats. Together, they enthralled the citizens of Hyderabad, who had never before witnessed such a spectacle of Red Shirt volunteers march.

THE collegium of the Supreme Court had forwarded the names of Justice K M Joseph and senior advocate Indu Malhotra to be elevated as judges to the Supreme Court.
After considerable delay the appointment of Indu Malhotra has been cleared. However, the government has not cleared the appointment of Justice K M Joseph. This is an unwarranted intrusion into the selection process of a judge and will affect the independence of the judiciary.

THE 22nd Congress of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) concluded at Hyderabad, successfully completing the agenda that was before the Congress. The spirit of unity and determination overflowed with abundance in the massive rally attended by lakhs of people marking the closing of the Congress.
THE 22nd Congress of the CPI(M) held in Hyderabad discussed how to build a strong party with an all-India mass base – the goal set out by the Kolkata Plenum on Organisation held in December 2015. The Political-Organisational Report presented to the Congress reviewed the implementation of the organisational tasks set out by the Plenum.
The Plenum had pointed out that the expansion of the Party and its mass base requires the stepping up of the class and mass struggles conducted by the Party and the mass organisations. There have been serious efforts in this direction.
