The padayatra started on February 12 from Janbai and culminated at Malkangiri, the district headquarters, on February 20.Janbai is an area within the Chitrakonda reservoir in the ‘Swabhiman Anchal’, the erstwhile cutoff area encompassing 151 villages of nine gram panchayats surrounded by water from three sides.
THE Puducherry CPI(M) state unit has initiated a prolonged and widely supported struggle on February 19, 2024.
