A letter published in one of the world’s most prestigious medical journal renews accusations of genocide and claims that current death toll estimates of people who have been killed in Gaza since October 7 are far below the real number.“IT is not implausible to estimate that up to 186,000 or even more deaths could be attributable to the current conflict in Gaza,” reads a letter published in The Lancet, penned by Rasha Khatib, Martin McKee, and Salim Yusuf on July 5.

AT the call of CPI(M) Delhi state c ommittee, protest demonstrations were held in many areas of Delhi NCR on July 7,  2024 against the back breaking price rise of vegetables, fruits and milk. The protesters raised slogans against the policies of the central government which promotes forward trading, hoarding and accused the government of ignoring the problems of the common people.The protesters also alleged that the Aam Aadmi Party government of Delhi is maintaining silence in this difficult period and is not taking any concrete steps to solve the problems of the people.
