TELANGANA: CPI(M) Reaches 65,000 Families during Lockdown

IN the coronavirus lockdown period, the CPI(M) Telangana committee had conducted online political classes for its cadre and called upon its members to actively participate in social service programmes to reach out to the needy during this crisis time.Party members in the state have been actively taking part in the awareness programmes, service programmes and the government initiated service programmes over the past 38 days since the lockdown has begun in the country.

Bihar: Protest for Ration in the State

SHIMMERING discontent among the daily wage earners, poor people, transport workers, and unorganised sector workers, rural peasants and agriculture workers came to the fore as they responded in a big way at the call of CITU, AIKS, AIAWU, AIDWA, SFI, DYFI and raised the collective war cry,  ‘provide  ration instead of speeches’. The slogan reverberated all across Bihar on April 21.

Left Rraises demands of people in West Bengal

Keeping lockdown restrictions in mind, the leaders assembled in Red Road, outside ‘red zone’ area and stood near Ambedkar statue maintaining physical distance.

MAHARASHTRA: CPI(M) Condemns Palghar Mob Lynching

THE CPI(M) Maharashtra state committee strongly condemns the shocking incident of mob lynching that took place on April 16 night in the remote village of Gadachinchle in Dahanu tehsil of Palghar district. Three persons were killed, and two of them were sadhus who were proceeding from Mumbai to Surat. West Bengal: ‘Left Forces’ in the Forefront of Relief Work

IN Kotarang, Hind Motors area in Hooghly, peoples’ kitchens are a saviour for hundreds of families in this difficult period of lock down. One such kitchen, run by DYFI activists serve lunch to around 500 people. Initially DYFI activists were distributing rice, pulses, salt to houses. They felt that some families would literally face starvation after some days. Most of them are house maids, cobblers and van drivers. The strategy was changed and a list of 122 families was prepared and coupons were distributed. DYFI activists distributed coupons to these families in the evening.
