Joint Intervention of Left Parties on Workers’ Unrest in Delhi-NCR

A joint demonstration was organised today at Jantar Mantar, New Delhi, by Left parties—Communist Party of India (Marxist), Communist Party of India, Communist Party of India (ML), Revolutionary Socialist Party, Forward Bloc, and CGPI. A large number of workers and trade union leaders from Noida, Ghaziabad, and Delhi participated in the protest.

Left parties in Uttar Pradesh including Communist Party of India (Marxist),  Communist Party of India, Communist Party of India (ML-Liberation), and Forward Bloc, jointly organised demonstrations at District Magistrate offices across all districts of the state on April 23, 2026, registering their protest against the tampering with service conditions of workers in Noida and surrounding areas, the violation of their rights, and the crushing of their movement.

In light of the current political climate across both the nation and the state, the Left Front decided to form a united coalition for the upcoming Assembly Elections based on a comprehensive seat-sharing arrangement. Maharashtra: Social Justice Week Observed

April 11, 2026, was the 200th birth anniversary of Mahatma Jotirao Phule and April 14, 2026, was the 135th birth anniversary of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar. Hence, April 11 to 17, was observed as Social Justice Week across the state by the CPI(M) in Maharashtra by organising various socio-cultural programmes to take the struggles and thoughts of these radical social reformers against caste and gender oppression to the people from a Marxist perspective.

Stop plunder of Gas from KG Basin

A state-level public convention was organised on April 16 at Samhita Convention Hall in Rajamahendravaram, Andhra Pradesh, under the aegis of the KG Basin Gas and Oil Sadhana Samiti. The event focused on the demand that 50 per cent of the gas and oil extracted from the KG Basin be allocated to meet the needs of the state’s people.

17th CITU Andhra Pradesh State Conference

The 17th Andhra Pradesh State Conference of the Centre of Indian Trade Unions (CITU) concluded on April 19 after three days of deliberations, rallies, and discussions opposing the Union government’s labour policies under the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

The conference commenced on Friday, April 17, with a massive rally in Nandyal town. The rally began at the Market Yard and concluded at the Municipal Town Hall, drawing thousands of workers from across the state.

CITU observes Jallianwala Bagh Day, calls for united anti-Imperialist movement

The inspiring milestone incident of Indian freedom struggle, the Jallianwala Bagh massacre by British imperialism, was commemorated by the CITU at Jallianwala Bagh, Amritsar, on April 13, 2026.

The programme, organised by the Amritsar district committee of CITU, started with paying tribute at the martyrs' memorial at Jallianwala Bagh. The leaders and cadres of CITU and AIKS marched to the memorial and payed floral tributes amidst anti-imperialist slogans.

90 Years of the All India Kisan Sabha: Year-Long Celebrations Start on Foundation Day

The year-long celebration of 90 years of the glorious history of the All India Kisan Sabha (AIKS) started on April 11, 2026 at New Delhi by hoisting the Kisan Sabha Flag. AIKS President Dr Ashok Dhawale unfurled the flag at the AIKS Central Office in an enthusiastic function attended by leaders and activists of different class and mass organisations and the democratic movement. Thousands of village units of the Kisan Sabha across the country commemorated the day by hoisting the AIKS flag.
