Delhi State Conference of AIDWA

THE 14th AIDWA-Delhi state conference held between March 12-13, 2022, concluded successfully at Delhi’s Harkishan Singh Surjeet Bhawan with 128 delegates participating from across Delhi NCR. The conference discussed and reviewed three years of work and the state of the organisation and the accounts of the organisation, after the general secretary placed the conference report.

Kannur is Ready for the 23rd Party Congress

KANNUR, the land with a revolutionary legacy of agrarian revolts and struggles, is in the final stage of preparations to host the 23rd Party Congress of the CPI(M). Arrangements for the conference at the E K Nayanar Academy, Kannur, are almost complete and a public meeting and rally will be held at A K G Nagar at Kannur Jawahar Stadium. The delegate session will be held at the specially constructed E K Nayanar Nagar in E K Nayanar Academy.An exhibition of historical paintings and sculptures titled- 'History A Weapon,’ will start on March 30, 2022, at K Varadarajan Nagar.

J&K State Conference of CPI(M)

THE 12th Jammu and Kashmir state conference of the CPI (M) was held at Hotel Lalarukh in historic Lal Chowk of Srinagar on March 23. The conference in which 236 delegates, observers participated started at 11 am with resounding slogans of socialism, revolution and CPI(M) zindabad. The red flag was hoisted by veteran comrade Gh Qadir Hafroo.

Gujarat State Conference of CPI(M)

THE 23rd CPI(M) Gujarat state conference began at Ahmedabad on March 23, 2022, the 91st martyrdom anniversary of Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev, and it concluded on March 24 with great enthusiasm.

The venue of the conference was named as Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar. The conference was attended by 153 delegates from 10 districts of Gujarat. They included 28 women delegates.

Gig Work: Techno-normative Control and Rising Precarity

GIG work has emerged as a significant mode of employment within the platform economy. Technology platforms allow a new work form where people can join the labour market by simply accessing an application that happens to be the site where consumers, employers and workers virtually meet. Platform-based work encompasses different modes of crowd work where individual service providers can meet their clients through the internet and sell services as required.
