But shall we only continue to blame the failure of governments or do something ourselves?Then why aren’t we requesting all Party members and sympathisers to contribute their two days salary and create a fund to save the workers?We say that we are a mass Party.

CPI(M) Punjab State Committee Office Attacked By RSS & BJP Goons

THE Punjab state headquarter of Communist Party of India (Marxist) was attacked by the RSS and BJP goons in Sector 30-B, Chandigarh on February 17 at about 5.30 pm. About 75 hoodlums threw stones at the office building. Five policemen who were present at the site along with the hoodlums, were silent spectators when they were throwing stones at the office building. Rather the policemen were asking the people inside to get behind doors.

Central Committee Communique

The Central Committee of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) met in New Delhi on February 17-18, 2016. It has issued the following statement on February 18.  RESIST ONSLAUGHT ON LEFT FORCESTHE Central Committee noted with serious concern the attack launched by the RSS-BJP against the Left forces. It is clear that under the false allegation of the Left forces being “anti-national” the RSS-BJP have mounted an all India attack against the Left.

Hooliganism in Court

The Polit Bureau of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) has issued the following statement on February 15, 2016.

THE Polit Bureau of the CPI(M) strongly condemns the shocking incident of hooliganism indulged in by lawyers and goons owing allegiance to the BJP at the Patiala House Courts in Delhi today. Teachers and students of the JNU and journalists were physically assaulted and driven out of the court. Several people suffered injuries. The JNU Students Union president who was arrested was to have been produced in the court today.

Indiscriminate Arrests of JNU Students Condemned

The Polit Bureau of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) has issued the following statement on February 12, 2016.

THE Polit Bureau of the CPI(M) strongly condemns the indiscriminate arrests of Left and progressive student leaders from the JNU campus. It is reported that currently the police is conducting a combing operation in JNU and its hostels.

Police have raided hostels without any arrest warrant indiscriminately searching for student leaders. The presence of police in the campus and such indiscriminate arrests from hostels had last happened during the Emergency.

Nava Kerala Concludes with a Massive Rally

Defend JNU from the Communal Onslaughts

The Central Committee of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) now in session in New Delhi has issued the following statement on February 17.THE Central Committee of the CPI(M) strongly condemns the Delhi Police for not carrying out the directions of the Supreme Court to provide adequate security to arrested JNU Students Union president, Kanhaiya Kumar.  Despite these orders, Kanhaiya was assaulted today at the Patiala House courts by the RSS/BJP goons under the very nose of the police.
