THE AIKS in Maharashtra began the third kisan long march from Dindori in Nashik district to Mumbai on March 12, 2023, on a 15-point charter of demands. It was withdrawn at Vasind in Thane district six days later on March 18, after the state government conceded many of the major demands in writing and the chief minister placed the agreement with the AIKS before the state assembly on March 17. AIDWA Demands Stern Action Against Brutal Murder of a Young Woman in Budgam

THE All India Democratic Women’s Association (AIDWA), in a statement issued on March 17, has strongly condemned the brutal murder of a young woman in Budgam (Kashmir). On March 7, Arifa Jan went for coaching class but failed to return home. Her brother lodged a missing report with the police on March 8. Restore Peace, End Hostility: Delegation of MPs to Tripura Governor

A DELEGATION of parliamentarians visited Tripura to assess the post-poll violence. Since the assembly polls in the state, goons of the ruling BJP have been perpetrating violence and targeting supporters and members of the Left parties. During the visit, the delegation comprising MPs of the CPI(M), CPI and the Congress submitted a memorandum to the governor on March 11, seeking restoration of peace, end to political hostility, and payment of compensation to those affected by the violence.

CITU Campaigns for Minimum Wages in Telangana
