Convention and Rally Held in Mahad to Mark Chavdar Tank Satyagraha

The historic town of Mahad in the Raigad district of Maharashtra once again became the centre of a powerful assertion of social justice and resistance on March 19–20, 2026, as the Communist Party of India (Marxist), along with the Jati Ant Sangharsh Samiti (JASS) (Struggle Committee for Annihilation of Caste), organised a ‘Human Rights Convention against Manuwad and Capitalism’ at Betkar Maharaj Math (Comrade R B More Nagar), Ladavli village, near Mahad, followed by a massive rally the next day.

Clashes a ploy to fool people, capture ADC: Chaudhury

CLASHES before elections and camaraderie after-such infighting among ruling parties aims to divert public attention and capture the ADC, alleged CPI(M) Politburo member Jitendra Chaudhury. He was addressing a spirited rally on Monday in the Manu-Chailengta constituency in support of the Left Front candidate. Earlier, despite heavy rain, he also addressed a meeting in the Halhuli-Asharambari constituency.

AP: Preserve India’s Anti-Imperialist Legacy, Unite and Protest US–Israel Aggression on Iran

PRAKASH KARAT, former General Secretary of the CPI(M), has urged people to protest against the ongoing US–Israel aggression on Iran. Speaking as the chief guest at a state-level seminar on “Imperialism in the 21st Century – Present Geopolitics,” organized by the CPI(M) Andhra Pradesh State Committee on March 27, Karat said that the military actions of the US and Israel against Iran are unjust and immoral. He said that the United States has been attacking Iran for the past 28 days, while Iran has been resisting with all its might.

DUJ Outraged at UNI Eviction

The Delhi Union of Journalists has expressed outrage at the manhandling of UNI journalists by the Delhi Police on March 20, 2026. The police entered the UNI newsrooms in large numbers and demanded that journalists peacefully working the night shift immediately leave the premises. They were told UNI was being evicted following a High Court Order. No Order was shown. 

Supreme Court Order on Reservation

The Polit Bureau of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) has issued the following statement on March 25, 2026.

The Polit Bureau of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) firmly disagrees with the Supreme Court’s endorsement of the Andhra Pradesh High Court order to the effect that once an individual converts to Christianity and actively professes and practices the same, he cannot be regarded as a member of the Scheduled Caste community.

CPI(M) on Streets Condemning the Gross Injustice by the Modi Government against Transgenders

Hundreds of persons of the LGBTQIA+ community thronged the venue near the Chennai District Collector Office on Monday March 23, 2026 to stage a protest demonstration organised by the Central Chennai District Committee of the CPI(M) demanding withdrawal of the Transgender persons (Protection of Rights) Amendment Bill 2026 from being introduced in Parliament.
