In a blatant move, the Information & Broadcasting ministry has ordered YouTube to take down the channel Bolta Hindustan on April 4, 2024 under Rule 15(2).The Rule 15(2) entitles the ministry to direct social media platforms to block content.

Paddy Farmers’ Arrears Withheld by BJP Govt to Foment Political Trouble in Kerala

In the meantime the BJP in Kerala citing non-payment of paddy dues organised violent protests with the opposition also upping the ante against the LDF led state government.

Inadequate MGNREGA Wage Hike: A Severe Blow to Rural Livelihoods

THE All-India Agricultural Workers Union (AIAWU), in a statement issued on March 28, has strongly condemned the ministry of rural development's notification regarding state-wise wage rates for unskilled manual workers. The proposed increase in wages for workers under the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA) is minimal and does not align with the core objectives of the MGNREGA.
