Dalit Shoshan Mukti Manch (DSMM) has issued the following statement on October 10.WE have come to know through media reports that the cabinet committee on parliamentary affairs has decided to hold the winter session of parliament from November 26 onwards. The first two days have been allotted for a special sitting on the occasion of the 125th birth anniversary of Dr B R Ambedkar, to discuss on Ambedkar and Constitution. DSMM welcomes this decision, but feels that it is not enough to confine to just holding a discussion.

BIHAR VERDICT: Major Setback for BJP

THE Bihar elections have resulted in a resounding defeat for the BJP. The alliance of the JD(U)-RJD-Congress has come to power with a big majority. This election verdict will have important ramifications for the politics of the country.The BJP had sought to repeat the tactic it employed in the Lok Sabha elections – talk of development interspersed with communal appeal.  In Bihar, hundreds of RSS cadres were deployed as during the Lok Sabha polls to take the communal message to the people and create a polarisation. At the top, both Narendra Modi and Amit Shah spewed anti-Muslim rhetoric.

THE CPI(M) congratulates the people of Bihar who have given a resounding defeat to the BJP alliance in the assembly elections. ‘Pratirodh’ Against Rising Intolerance

NOVEMBER 1 was the birth anniversary of rationalist Narendra Dabholkar, who was murdered in Pune in August, 2013.
