WB: DYFI Organises Insaf Yatra across the State

INSAF Yatra (march for justice), organised by the DYFI West Bengal state committee, began from Cooch Behar on November 3, its 44th Foundation Day. The key slogans of the march are: ‘Ensure the effective rights to work and education. Oust the corrupt and the rioters. Save the country, save the state’. With these aims in mind, DYFI leaders and workers will walk around 2,000 km from Cooch Behar in north Bengal to Kakdwip in the south over the next two months. The target is to touch a huge number of villages, cities and towns in the state.

WB: CPI(M) to Hold Statewide Campaign for Two Months

AN extended session of the CPI(M) West Bengal state committee was held from November 3-5 at Anil Biswas Bhavan, office of the Party's Howrah district committee. CWFI Holds Women Construction Workers’ National Convention

THE All India Convention of Women Construction Workers was successfully held on November 6, 2023 at Comrade Anju Chatterjee Nagar and Comrade Maithili Sivaraman Manch, Kanyakumari in Tamil Nadu. The convention resolved to reorient the organisation among women construction workers and to intensify the struggles to unleash more militant actions to achieve their just demands.The convention started with flag hoisting. J Lordu Ruby, vice- president of the Construction Workers Federation of India, hoisted the Red flag, and delegates and guests paid floral tributes to the martyr’s column.

ASHA Workers Hold All-India Sangharsh Rally

OVER 10,000 ASHA workers and facilitators from 16 states – Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Bihar, Gujarat, Haryana, Jammu & Kashmir, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Odisha, Punjab, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand and West Bengal – responded to the call by ASHA Workers’ and Facilitators Federation of India (AWFFI) CITU and gathered at Jantar Mantar on October 30, 2023.

Maha: AIKS Holds State Level Study Camp

THE All India Kisan Sabha (AIKS) has had several massive, effective and victorious struggles in Maharashtra during the last few years. Many of them have been documented in these columns. Apart from state conferences, there have been regular two-day state organisational workshops of the AIKS. However, state level study camps were not so regular.To overcome this weakness, the AIKS held a three-day Maharashtra state study camp in Pune city from October 16-18, 2023. A total of 142 main activists from 19 districts attended.

CPI(M) Demands Immediate Ceasefire in Gaza

THE Central Committee of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) conducted a dharna on October 29 in solidarity with Palestine and condemning Israeli aggression. All the members of the Central Committee, including the Polit Bureau members, participated in the dharna.Sitaram Yechury, general secretary of the CPI(M), in his inaugural address, strongly denounced Israel's aggression against Palestine.
