The verdict is symptomatic of the way criminal justice system is manipulated to serve the cause of the so-called Hindu rashtra.

J&K: JKDYF Holds Kulgam District Conference

THE Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Youth Federation (JKDYF) held its 5th one-day district conference at Kulgam on August 2. The presidium comprised Wahid Sultan Dar, Mohd. Abass Rather, Javed Iqbal Parrey, Sheeraz Ahmad Dar, Irshad Ahmad, and Imtiaz Ahmad Dar.

Gujarat: Death of a Dairy Farmer-CPI(M)-AIKS Delegation Visits Himatnagar

A CPI(M)-AIKS delegation visited Himatnagar on July 21, 2025, following the tragic death of 42-year-old dairy farmer Ashok Choudhury. The delegation, led by CPI(M) leaders, demanded a judicial inquiry into the circumstances surrounding Choudhury’s death and called for compensation of one crore rupees to his family, among others.Choudhury’s death is rooted in the long-standing issue of corruption within the BJP-controlled Sabarkantha District Milk Producers Union (Sabar Dairy). Dairy farmers in the region have been raising concerns about mismanagement and corruption in the cooperative.

Maha: CPI(M) Protest in Dahanu against Smart Meters and Power Privatisation

A LARGE protest rally and gherao of the Dahanu office of the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company (Mahavitaran) was led by the CPI(M) last week. The protest was against the installation of smart meters, electricity privatisation, and the huge power bills that are attacking lakhs of peasants, workers, and common people. The rally marched into and occupied the Mahavitaran office and gheraoed its officials for over two hours.
