NCCOEEE, the broad based platform of all National Federations of Electricity Employees and Engineers held a strong protest demonstration on July 19, 2021 in different parts of the country.These protests were held for two hours against the steps of the central government to transfer the state owned power utilities to private corporations through the enactment of the Electricity (Amendment) Bill, 2021.

Farmers All Set for Protests near Parliament

THE Samyukta Kisan Morcha (SKM) is all set to go ahead with its plans for parliament protests on all working days of the monsoon session from July 22 to August 13. Kisan sansads will be organised at Jantar Mantar by 200 protestors each day. The nine-member coordination committee of SKM held a meeting with senior officials of Delhi Police. The plans will be executed in an orderly, disciplined and peaceful manner. The protestors will leave from Singhu Border each day, with ID cards.

A VILLAGE in Faridabad, Haryana on the outskirts of Delhi has been in news. Houses here, constructed by workers with great difficulties, are being demolished by bulldozers. What is the issue?In the middle of skyscrapers, flats, hotels and marriage palaces constructed by big business people, nearly 150 acres of land can be called a village or a basti. This basti was developed in the last 30-35 years, and there are around 10,000-12,000 houses. Farmers Plan Parliament Marches: Issue People’s Whip to MPs

IN its meeting held at the Singhu border on July 14, 2021, the Samyukta Kisan Morcha (SKM) announced detailed plans of its parliament protest marches. From July 22 onwards, on every day of the monsoon session of parliament, batches of 200 farmer volunteers and leaders shall march towards Parliament House in a peaceful manner following the guidelines of discipline laid down by the SKM.
