Towards 35th Conference of All India Kisan Sabha

SINCE the 33rd conference of the Kisan Sabha, a new trend emerged in the peasant movement. Kisan Sabha always stressed on the need for independent movements as it strengthens the organisation, spreads its influence, creates confidence within the organisation and helps to draw other organisations towards a united struggle. This led to the slogan of “Kisan Sabha in all villages and all kisans in Kisan Sabha”. The entire history of AIKS proved it. But AIKS gave equal importance to building a united kisan movement.

Tripura: October Revolution Anniversary Observed

THE 105th anniversary of the October Revolution was observed all across the state in Tripura. A hall meeting at Rabindra Shatabarshiki Bhavan in Agartala was held on November 8.In the morning, at all the Party and trade union offices, red flags were hoisted. Floral tributes were paid to Karl Marx, Fredrick Engels, Lenin and Stalin at many places. Party offices were decorated with red lights and flags. In the state committee office of CPI(M) in Agartala, red flag was hoisted by senior kisan leader and former Polit Bureau member of the Party, Hannan Mollah.

Delhi: Skill Development Centre Set-up in North-East Delhi

AMIDST a festive atmosphere, A Vijayaraghavan, Polit Bureau member of the CPI(M) inaugurated the Skill Development Centre built by the Major Jaipal Singh Memorial Trust at Brijpuri in North-East Delhi on October 31, 2022. This is the area which lost 54 innocent lives and which saw widespread damage to property in one of the worst communal violence engineered by the RSS-BJP in February 2020.

YAMAHA, a Japanese two-wheeler manufacturing plant operating at Oragadam, in Kanchipuram district employs around 2,500 workers including 900 permanent workers.A majority of permanent workers went on sit-in strike for ten days from October 11-20, demanding recognition of their union as per the legal and labour rules.

Tripura: SFI State Conference Held With Great Enthusiasm

THE 20th state conference of Students’ Federation of India (SFI) in Tripura was held on October 17-18, 2022 at Agartala. The open session, held on October 17 in the auditorium of Town Hall, was attended by a house full of participants. Apart from the delegates coming from different parts of the state, there were representatives from youth, teachers and other mass organisations.The conference started with hoisting of SFI flag and paying floral tributes to the martyrs.
