Delhi: DYFI to Protest at CM’s Residence on Sept 12

THE Democratic Youth Federation of India will stage a protest demonstration outside the Delhi chief minister’s residence on September 12 on various issues related to employment and healthcare. At a press conference on September 7, the DYFI Delhi unit leadership laid out details of the proposed agitation. MAHA: AIKS Rally Demands Crop Insurance Compensation

On August 30, thousands of peasants from the backward Marathwada and Vidarbha regions of Maharashtra, held an impressive rally at the State Agricultural Commissioner's office at Pune. They were demanding crop insurance compensation worth crores of rupees to lakhs of peasants who had paid their premium under the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (PMFBY) for the Kharif season 2020, had suffered tremendous crop losses due to excessive rains, but had not received any compensation at all from crop insurance companies.

SWATI Awasthi, a Class 10 student of Saraswati Vidya Mandir in the Unnao district of Uttar Pradesh went through extreme mental stress and lost her life on August 5, due to emotional trauma. The school principal had humiliated her a lot for not paying the fees and also refused to allow her to appear in the upcoming quarterly examinations.All her pleas went unheeded.  She could not cope with her plight and returned home and fell unconscious.
