The Central Committee of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) met in New Delhi from June 22-24, 2018. It has issued the following statement on June 24.
 
CC Lauds Kerala LDF Govt
 
The Central Committee congratulated the LDF government in Kerala for the manner in which they could contain the dreaded Nipah virus from spreading. The efforts of the state government have earned accolades from international agencies including the World Health Organisation.
 

CC Communique: CPI(M) Calls on People to Join Growing Struggles

The Central Committee of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) met from October 14-16, 2017, at New Delhi. It has issued the following statement on October 16.

BJP’S FLOP YATRA

The Central Committee commends the people of Kerala for foiling the conspiracy of the BJP to escalate violence in the state, despite severe provocations. The lukewarm response that the yatra received in the initial stages itself forced the BJP president to abandon it midway and return to Delhi.

Resolution on GST

THE Central Committee of the CPI(M) expresses its deep concern at the adverse impact of the Goods and Services Tax (GST) implemented from July 1, 2017.  The GST has put new burdens on the common people, small and tiny enterprises, traders and unorganised sector occupations.  Industries and services like textile, beedi, pharmaceuticals, construction, transport, tailoring, small newspapers, matches and fireworks also have been badly affected; agriculture and allied sectors are also impacted.

RSS-BJP RENEWED AGGRESSIVENESS

Following the recent election victories, particularly in Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand, the RSS-BJP have intensified their activities aimed at sharpening communal polarisation through various means. During the nearly three years since Narendra Modi became the prime minister, the RSS has rapidly spread its influence in various parts of the country.
