Pampadi, a small village in Kottayam district of Kerala, has been celebrating May Day like a festival for more than three decades now.  In a unique manner, the whole village comes to the streets, either as a participant or as a viewer.   May Day observance is really like a `Gramotsav’ for Pampadi. History of working class struggles, and other major events relating to  the May Day are depicted in various ways during the observance.CITU national president K Hemalata inaugurated the rally and addressed the public meeting at Pampadi.

May Day Celebrated in Telangana                                                                   M Venugopala Rao MAY Day was celebrated in Telangana by the CPI(M), CPI, CITU, AITUC and several other trade unions where leaders had lashed out at the central and state governments for trying to hoodwink the working class by shedding crocodile tears on the one hand, even while not implementing various laws intended for the benefit of the workers and suppressing their rights and struggles, on the other.

ON the occasion of May Day 2015, CITU extends warm greetings to the working class and toiling people of the entire world and expresses solidarity with their ongoing struggle against exploitation let loose against them by the neo-liberal capitalist order.
