LENIN DEATH CENTENARY

The Theoretical Significance of Lenin’s Imperialism

THE significance of Lenin’s Imperialism lay in the fact that it totally revolutionised the perception of the revolution. Marx and Engels had already visualised the possibility of colonial and dependent countries having revolutions of their own even before the proletarian revolution in the metropolis, but these two sets of revolutions were seen to be disjoint; and both the trajectory of the revolution in the periphery and its relation to the socialist revolution in the metropolis remained unclear.

Relevance of Lenin, 100 Years after His Death

VLADIMIR Ilyich Lenin published an article in 1913 on the occasion of the 30th death anniversary of Karl Marx.  This was published in a monthly journal of the Bolsheviks `Prosveshcheniye’ (Enlightenment) titled: `The Three Sources and Three Component Parts of Marxism’.  The often quoted and famous, aphorism type formulation of Lenin: “The Marxist doctrine is omnipotent because it is true” forms part of this writing.

Lodestar of Revolutionary Advance For Human Emancipation

IN a short span of 54 years, Vladimir Ilyich Lenin left an inerasable imprint for the advance of the global proletarian revolution.  He not only mastered the essence of the creative science of Marxism, but updated it to his contemporary times and led the Russian Revolution to victory leading to the establishment of the first socialist country in the world – the USSR.  He enriched Marxism combating all forms of deviations and protected the revolutionary movement from derailment.
