CPI(M) Condemns Suspension of Two Professors from HCU

The Polit Bureau of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) has issued the following press statement on June 15, 2016

THE Polit Bureau of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) strongly condemns the suspension of two professors from the Hyderabad Central University on charges of supporting the students’ protest in the ongoing agitation in the university following the tragic suicide of Rohith Vemula.

Baseless Allegations over Tripura School Text Books

LEADER of the opposition in the Kerala assembly, Ramesh Chennithala, had written to the CPI(M) general secretary Sitaram Yechury pointing out to certain media reports that alleged that role played by national leaders like Gandhiji etc were removed from the school text books in Tripura. Yechury wrote a reply to Chennithala on June 9, 2016 saying that he has enquired from the CPI(M) Tripura state committee and asked for a response to the media reports and to Chennithala's letter.

Order Judicial Enquiry on Mathura Development

The Polit Bureau of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) has issued the following statement on June 4, 2016.

THE Polit Bureau of the CPI(M) expresses its serious concern over the developments in Mathura that have so far led to the death of at least 24 people. The dead include two senior police officers and 22 people claiming to be militants of the Swadhin Bharat Subash Sena (SBSS). This SBSS claims to have over 2000 armed militants supposed adherents and true followers of Netaji Subash Chandra Bose.

Dadri: Check Communal Designs

The Polit Bureau of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) has issued the following statement on June 8, 2016.

THE Polit Bureau of the CPI(M) strongly condemns the nefarious designs of the BJP and the Hindutva communal forces who are once again seeking to raise communal tensions by utilising the so-called beef consumption in Bisara village in Dadri, Uttar Pradesh. The killing of Mohammad Akhlaq and the attack on his family is now sought to be diverted to the issue of cow slaughter and beef consumption.

'Stop Intimidation of Activists'

CERTAIN reports have appeared in a section of the media stating that the professors from the Jawaharlal Nehru University and the Delhi University who visited Bastar, Chhattisgarh are being harassed with copies of the false complaints registered against them being sent to the concerned universities. In this context, CPI(M) general secretary, Sitaram Yechury had addressed a letter to chief minister Raman Singh on May 27, 2016 seeking his intervention.

Stop BJP-RSS Attacks in Kerala

The Polit Bureau of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) has issued the following statement on May 22.

THE BJP is levelling false allegations about violence by the CPIM) against BJP workers in Kerala. BJP workers have held a demonstration at the Central Committee office of the CPI(M) and indulged in vandalism.

The BJP leadership is adopting a hypocritical and dishonest position about what has actually happened in Kerala.
