The Polit Bureau of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) issued the following statement on July 1, 2014. THE speech of the Trinamool Congress MP, Tapas Pal, inciting violence and rape against CPI(M) workers and women, is shocking and obnoxious. He threatened murder, destruction of homes of CPI(M) men and to send his boys to rape the women there. This atrocious speech gives an indication of the actual situation in West Bengal where the Trinamool Congress are subjecting the CPI(M) and the opposition to systematic violence, intimidation and threats to their livelihood, with the state administration conniving in such anti-democratic activities.  The Polit Bureau of the CPI(M) demands that firm action should be taken against Tapas Pal and cases should be filed against him for criminal intimidation and incitement to violence. Parliament should also act against this delinquent MP.
