ON January 26, 2020, the people in the down south state of Kerala built a tower of protest by making a 620 kilometres long human chain along the western side of highway. It is roughly estimated that more than 70 lakh people have participated with staunchly determined minds to counter the evil design of the RSS, who are bent.

People from all walks of life have participated in the manushya maha shringhala(the great human chain) on the Republic day.  A large number of women, especially women from minority communities, youngsters including, students and even kids reached the respective places allotted to them on-time. The human chain literally turned as a great human wall with multiple layers. The call for the human chain was given by Left Democratic Front. The people took pledge and read out the preamble of the Constitution of India. Public meetings were held in more than 250 centers soon after the formation of human chain. This is the first ever event in the world, where millions of people read out the preamble of constitution.

Chief minister, Pinarayi Vijayan and CPI leader, Kanam Rajendran were part of human chain at Palayam in Thiruvananthapuram city. LDF convener, A Vijayaraghavan led the human chain at Killippalam in Thiruvananthapuram. CPIM CC member and former secretary of Jammu & Kashmir state committee joined with the protesters in Malappuram. CC member, P K Sreemathi and minister K T Jaleel participated at the same venue. CPIM CC members, E P Jayarajan and Vijoo Krishnan, writer T Padmanabhan joined with the massive gathering in Kannur. CC member, Vaikom Vishwan and A M Arif-MP became part of the chain at Alappuzha. K Radha Krishnan, Central Committee member of the CPI(M) attended at Thrissur.
