DELHI: United Left Alliance Wins JNUSU Polls
THE United Left Alliance has won all four central panel posts in the Jawaharlal Nehru University Students’ Union polls.
The United Left alliance of SFI – Students’ Federation of India, Democratic Students' Federation (DSF), All India Students' Association (AISA), and All India Students' Federation (AISF) has won the elections, bagging all four central panel posts with thumping majorities.
Aishe Ghosh of SFI has been elected as the president, defeating the nearest opponent candidate by 1,185 votes.
Saket Moon of DSF has won the vice-president post with a margin of 2,030 votes over the nearest opponent.
Satish Chandra Yadav of AISA has been elected as general secretary, with a lead of 1,163 votes.
Md. Danish of AISF has won the post of joint secretary, defeating the nearest opponent by 1,787 votes.
