JHARKHAND: CPI(M) Leaders Falsely Implicated
ON July 5, 2016, the judicial magistrate of Ranchi has ordered one year imprisonment for J S Majumdar, CPI(M) Central Committee member and former secretary of Jharkhand state committee, Suphal Mahto, state secretariat member and former secretary of Ranchi district committee of CPI(M) along with other 18 activists of CPI(M), including Amit Mahto present MLA of Jharkhand Mukti Morcha.
False charges under sections 143/151/341/353 of CrPC were framed against them for taking part in a protest programme organised on March 1, 2005 against attacks on CPI(M) activists by the miscreants of AJSU party led by Sudesh Mahto, former deputy chief minister of Jharkhand, at Muri in Ranchi district.
Police had acted as directed by the AJSU-BJP combine and framed false charges, while no step was taken against the miscreants of the AJSU party.
The Jharkhand state secretariat of the CPI(M) while strongly condemning the politically motivated conspiracy, has decided to appeal before the higher court and also combat it politically.
