The Left Front organised a protest at the Kharagpur Divisional Railway Manager’s (DRM) office on April 10 to strongly object to the ongoing issues affecting passenger train services. The protest aimed to highlight frequent delays on key routes, including the Howrah–Kharagpur, Medinipur, Adra, Jaleswar, Bhadrak, and Tatanagar lines.

The Left Front also condemned the unjustified fare hikes and drew attention to the increasing hardships faced by passengers due to irregular schedules, overcrowded coaches, and inadequate services.

The demonstration was supported by a 14-point charter of demands, calling for immediate intervention and corrective action by railway authorities.
