Union Budget: Rebates for the Well-off; Cuts for the Majority

THE finance minister presented the budget for the FY 2025-26 in the context of a slowing down of growth, rising inequality, lack of private investment together with declining growth of government investment, depleting foreign exchange reserves and declining growth of exports. Mammoth Rally in Tripura

THERE has been a red tsunami at Agartala on January 29, the day of the public rally held on the occasion of the opening of 24th state conference of CPI(M) in Tripura. People from all corners of the state thronged the streets of the state capital and virtually painted the city red with fluttering red flags, banners, festoons, and balloons. Jharkhand: CPI(M) State Conference Calls for Strengthening the Party

THE 8th Jharkhand State Conference of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) was held from January 9 to 11, 2025, in Ranchi's Namkum suburb. The conference called for building a better Jharkhand and it aimed to strengthen grassroots movements and build an independent and strong organisational base for the Party in the state.The venue was named after Comrade Sitaram Yechury, while the auditorium was named after Buddhadeb Bhattacharya. The stage was named after Subhash Munda, a martyr from Ranchi.
