Six Months of Kisan Movement

THE longest, largest, most united, and peaceful kisan struggle since independence has been continuously gaining in strength. The agitating farmers have shown unprecedented unity, determination and strength despite facing several odds – from winter chill to pouring rains and searing heat. As the anti-peasant Modi government did not allow them to come to the national capital, farmers in their thousands are seating peacefully at five border points of Delhi -- Singhu, Tikri, Gazipur, Palwal and Shahjahanpur.

Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has written to chief ministers of 11 non-BJP states on June 1, urging them to demand the union government to ensure free universal vaccination. The supply of vaccine is scarce when compared to the demand for the same.

Condemn Murderous Attack on CPI(M) Bihar MLA Ajay Kumar

CPI(M) Polit Bureau has issued the following statement on May 30, 2021THE Polit Bureau of the CPI(M) condemns the murderous attack on Ajay Kumar, leader of the CPI(M) legislature party and member of its Bihar secretariat, at Samastipur. This is the second such attack on him in the past few weeks.The Polit Bureau demands that the culprits must be apprehended immediately and punitive action taken against them. The state government must provide MLA Ajay Kumar adequate security. It should also institute an enquiry on why such incidents are repeating.
