ON August 13th, a political tremor shook Argentina. Javier Milei, a far right politician pushed behind the contenders of the two established political parties in Argentina and emerged as the leader in the presidential primaries. Milei’s electoral gains were immediately acknowledged by almost all the far-right leaders of Latin America.The rising popularity of Milei in Argentina is one among the many instances that point towards the growing right-wing forces throughout the world. In Germany, we find the Alternative for Duestchland (AfD) gaining in strength.

Modi Red Fort Speech: Toxic Politics on Display

Kerala to Retain Deleted Parts of NCERT Textbooks

AS soon as the NCERT announcement regarding the alteration of textbooks under the pretext of 'rationalisation' became public, the Government of Kerala swiftly expressed its opposition to it. The Minister of General Education for Kerala, V Sivankutty, unequivocally stated that the removal of content from the textbooks related to Muslims and their contributions, as well as the distortion of modern Indian history to marginalise Muslims and downplay the role of the RSS, including its involvement in the assassination of Mahatma Gandhi, is unacceptable.
