CPI(M) Bus Jathas in Andhra Pradesh: Regional Parties Urged to Come Out of the Clutches of BJP

THE Andhra Pradesh committee of the CPI(M) has held three bus jathas to propagate its political line, expose the misrule of BJP and appeal the ruling YSRCP, opposition TDP and Janasena to come out of the clutches of harmful BJP.The three jathas traversed through different terrains and diverse areas and simultaneously covered all the 26 districts in the state in ten days.

Maha: AIKS Holds State Level Study Camp

THE All India Kisan Sabha (AIKS) has had several massive, effective and victorious struggles in Maharashtra during the last few years. Many of them have been documented in these columns. Apart from state conferences, there have been regular two-day state organisational workshops of the AIKS. However, state level study camps were not so regular.To overcome this weakness, the AIKS held a three-day Maharashtra state study camp in Pune city from October 16-18, 2023. A total of 142 main activists from 19 districts attended.

CPI(M) Demands Immediate Ceasefire in Gaza

THE Central Committee of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) conducted a dharna on October 29 in solidarity with Palestine and condemning Israeli aggression. All the members of the Central Committee, including the Polit Bureau members, participated in the dharna.Sitaram Yechury, general secretary of the CPI(M), in his inaugural address, strongly denounced Israel's aggression against Palestine. He emphasised that Israel's aerial and ground offensive aimed to displace all Palestinians from Gaza and occupy the region.

Chhattisgarh: CPI(M) Appeals People to Defeat BJP in the State

THE Communist Party of India (Marxist) has called upon the general public in Chhattisgarh to ensure the defeat of the BJP and the presence of the Left in the state assembly. This will also put a stop to the communal politics of Hindutva and the anti-people politics of alliance with corporates and will focus on the basic issues of the people. Kerala: Kalamassery Blast: Hate-Mongers Led by Union Minister Spit Venom

FOLLOWING the blast at a prayer meeting hall in Kalamassery, Kochi on October 29, there was an abrupt surge in hate campaign against the Muslim community. Social media handles associated with the Sangh Parivar extensively propagated the idea that the blast was orchestrated by Muslim organisations, suggesting increased surveillance of all members of that community.

TN: CPI(M) Holds Seminar on Corruption and Communalism

THE CPI(M) Tamil Nadu state committee organised a special seminar titled 'Rs 7.5 Lakh Crore Corruption of the Modi Government, CAG Report, and Communal Hate Politics' in Chennai on October 19. Prof Venkatesh Athreya, in outlining the seminar's agenda, emphasised that under the corporate-Hindutva rule of Prime Minister Modi, the people of India are experiencing escalating hardships every day. Protests against Israel’s Attack on Gaza

AT the call of Left parties – CPI, CPI(M), and CPI(ML), hundreds of people gathered at Freedom Park in Bangalore to protest against the Israel’s bombing on Gaza killing thousands of Palestinians including women and children.Bangalore police had refused permission for the protest. But people gathered defying the police ban and proceeded to hold the demonstration. Police arrested the demonstrators and took them to City Armed Reserve (South) at Adugodi.
