CPI(M) Lodges Complaint against PM Modi

Brinda Karat, CPI(M) Polit Bureau member and Pushpinder Singh Grewal, Delhi state secretariat member of the CPI(M) lodged a complaint to the SHO, Mandir Marg police station on April 22, 2024, against Narendra Modi, prime minister, for promoting enmity between groups and making statements that are imputations and assertions that are prejudicial to national integration.Since the Mandir Marg PS refused to accept the complaint it has been sent to the Commissioner of Police, Delhi.

A BIG rally was organised in the historical village of Bundala, Jalandhar district, on April 11, 2024, to inaugurate the election campaign of Master Parshotam Lal Bilga, CPI(M) candidate from the Jalandhar constituency. Bundala holds significance as the native village of Comrade Harkishan Singh Surjeet.Addressing the gathering, CPI(M) state secretary Sukhwinder Singh Sekhon outlined the unfulfilled promises of the BJP government led by Narendra Modi during the parliamentary elections of 2014 and 2019.

Maha: CPI(M) Begins Hingoli Lok Sabha Election Campaign

ON April 8, 2024, the CPI(M) began its election campaign for the Hingoli Lok Sabha seat in Maharashtra with an enthusiastic convention of more than 100 of its main activists. They came from the three districts of Nanded and Hingoli in the Marathwada region, and Yavatmal in the Vidarbha region. Parts of these three districts come in this constituency. The voting date for this seat is April 26. The CPI(M) had fought this Lok Sabha seat once earlier in 2014.

Maha: AIKS Organises Right to MSP Convention at Wardha

ON April 7, 2024, the All India Kisan Sabha (AIKS) Maharashtra unit organised a large and enthusiastic Right to Minimum Support Price (MSP) Vidarbha level convention at Wardha. It was attended by over 800 farmers from Wardha, Yavatmal, Amravati, Buldana, Nagpur, and Gadchiroli districts of the Vidarbha region. Exactly a month ago, on March 7, 2024, the AIKS Maharashtra unit had organised a similar 1000-strong Marathwada level farmers convention at Majalgaon in Beed district.

Solidarity Meeting Demands Prabir’s Release

AN array of political leaders, intellectuals, activists and artists assembled at the HKS Surjeet Bhavan on April 6, 2024 to express solidarity with Prabir Purkayastha who has already served six months jail term over trumped up charges under UAPA.
