THE election battle in Karnataka has reached a decisive stage, with only a few days of campaigning left. Last week, 98 central star campaigners from the BJP arrived in the state, including PM Modi, home minister Amit Shah, and Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi, who held several public meetings and roadshows. Roadshows, a campaign method mostly used by the BJP, have been criticised for being a pernicious election tactic that lacks political content. These shows display money, muscle, and political power, causing traffic jams and public inconvenience for hours.

Kerala: AKG Centre Holds Seminar on Vaikom Satyagraha

THE AKG Centre for Studies and Research organised a seminar on the Vaikom Satyagraha on April 24, 2023, in Thiruvananthapuram. THE 132nd birth anniversary of Dr BR Ambedkar was yet again celebrated by the Delhi unit of the Dalit Shoshan Mutki Manch (DSMM) on Parliament Street on April 14 with cultural and political programmes highlighting his ideas of equality and social justice.The cultural fest on the Parliament Street began with songs by Ratan Gambhir. The songs talked about the need for unity of the working class and dalits, warning them against the agenda of hatred and division pursued by the Hindutva forces.
