24th Party Congress of the CPI(M) Messages

Communist Party of Russian Federation (CPRF)

DEAR comrades!

Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation salutes the delegates to the 24th Congress of the Communist Party of India (Marxist), its members, allies and supporters in struggle for common people and their rights.

International situation worldwide requires concentration and coordination of efforts by all communist and workers parties as well as correct analysis and unity in assessments of common issues. We all have to do it and undoubtedly the CPI(M) Congress will succeed in these issues apart from electing a new leadership which leads it towards new battles for socialism, equality and brotherhood.

The CPRF expresses its solidarity with your struggle for our common ideals and true democracy in India.

We wish the 24th Congress successful work. We are confident that Congress decisions will further strengthen the Party ranks and improve its prestige in the society.

With fraternal greetings,

Chairman,

CPRF Central Committee

Japanese Communist Party (JCP)

COMRADES participating in the Congress,

The Japanese Communist Party sends its heartfelt congratulations and solidarity greetings on the occasion of the 24th Congress of the Communist Party of India (Marxist).  We hope that your party's congress will be a great success and contribute to the development of the struggles and movements of workers, farmers, and various citizens to resist social oppression, defend their rights and improve their lives, and overcome neoliberal policies. We also hope that the congress will be a springboard for the organisational progress of your party and for the expansion of the broad unity of democratic forces and the collaboration of left-wing forces.

The US Trump administration openly disregards the UN Charter and international law by supporting Israel's genocidal attack on Gaza and condoning Russia's aggression against Ukraine.  However, the US cannot unilaterally impose its will on the world, which was built on the UN Charter in the 80 years since the end of World War II, as highlighted by the recent success of the 3rd Meeting of the State Parties to the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons. The mainstream wish of the world is to create peace through dialogue and inclusion based on the UN Charter and international law, and our party will continue to work hard to further promote it.

In Japan, the Liberal Democratic Party-led ruling coalition lost its majority in the House of Representatives as a result of the general election held in October last year and the political landscape has entered a period of dynamic political change. While pursuing all possibilities to realise the people's desperate demands, we are leading the efforts to end LDP politics by confronting its dual distortions of regarding the Japan-US military alliance as inviolable and  putting the interests of the business world first. We are doing our utmost to make progress in the Tokyo Metropolitan Assembly and House of Councillors elections this summer.

We hope that the JCP and the CPI(M) will further strengthen the friendship and solidarity in order  to develop the struggle for peace and social progress and to strengthen cooperation on global  issues such as abolishing nuclear weapons and combating climate change.

Central Committee,

Japanese Communist Party

Communist Party of Australia (CPA)

THE Communist Party of Australia (CPA) sends fraternal greetings to our comrades of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) on the occasion of their 24th Congress being held in the city of Madurai, Tamilnadu on April 2-6, 2025.

The upcoming congress is an opportunity for a collective discussion of the national and international situation which involves the entire Party membership. Party members will also discuss the draft political resolution that will be before congress delegates. The congress will also have the task of electing a new party leadership.

Thank you for sharing your draft political resolution which has a very good analysis of the international situation which we share many of the views.

The CPA regards highly the fraternal relationship between our two parties and it is in this spirit that we salute the leadership, membership and delegates to the 24th Congress.

We wish you all the very best in your deliberations and trust that the outcomes of your congress will be a step forward in strengthening working class solidarity and power for all the Indian people.

We are also confident that the struggle against imperialism that our two parties carry out in Australia and India is an important part of our work towards a socialist future in our countries.

Communist Party of Sri Lanka (CPSL)

DEAR Comrades,

On behalf of the Communist Party of Sri Lanka (CPSL), I would like to convey our warmest fraternal greetings to the leadership and membership of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) on the occasion of your 24th Congress to be held in Madurai, Tamil Nadu, from April 2-6, 2025.

Our two parties have had long-standing cordial and fraternal relations. We note that this 24th Congress will be the first since the passing of Comrade Sitaram Yechury, who we considered a close friend, great leader, true internationalist, and an inspiration to the Communists of Sri Lanka. We cherish the memory of Comrade Sitaram and look forward to strengthening our existing relations with your party.

Dear comrades, as you well know, the world is currently undergoing a deep economic crisis, accompanied by a restructuring of international relations. In the last few years, our region has seen immense instability – from Sri Lanka to Pakistan to Bangladesh. In light of the second Trump administration’s aggressive foreign policy, we expect South Asia and the Indian Ocean region to be a hotspot of imperialist intervention. As your Draft Political Resolution acknowledges, the contradictions between the US and China are intensifying, socialist countries are resisting, and anti-imperialist movements around the world are starting to move. In this context, we believe it is critical for the communist parties of our region to strengthen channels of communication and coordinate our actions.

Given the size of the Indian working class and peasantry, what happens in India is critical to the future of the Communist movement and the international anti-imperialist movement. We applaud the leadership that your party has given to the Indian people in the struggle against communalism and neoliberalism. We acknowledge that this has been done under the arduous circumstances of a right-wing government that uses sectarianism and anti-democratic measures to suppress people’s movements. Your Draft Political Resolution’s call for strengthening Left unity and rallying all Left and Democratic forces is a sentiment that our party shares as well. We are confident that this 24th Congress of your party will open a new chapter of struggle for socialism, democracy, and a better world.

Long live fraternal solidarity between CPSL and CPI(M)! Long live internationalism! Long live the Communist movement!

Dr. G. Weerasinghe

General Secretary

Communist Party of Nepal (Unified Socialist)

DEAR Comrades,

On behalf of the Communist Party of Nepal (Unified Socialist), we extend our warmest revolutionary greetings and heartfelt solidarity to all of you on the occasion of your 24th Party Congress, to be held on April 2-6, 2025, in Tamilnadu, India. We deeply admire the CPI(M)’s unwavering commitment to organising and mobilising the working class and oppressed masses in their struggle for livelihood, social justice, freedom, equality, social liberation, democracy and socialism. Your congress comes at a critical juncture, not only for India but for the global progressive movement. We stand united with you in the fight against exploitation, inequality, discrimination, oppression, neoliberalism, hegemony and neofascism.

In Nepal, the communist movement faces its own challenges. Despite these difficulties, we remain persistent in our commitment to uniting the left forces and strengthening our collective struggle against rightist deviation and opportunism within the communist movement as well as against the domination of the comprador capitalism, the big bourgeois, monopoly capitalism and imperialism. Last year, in July, 2024, we successfully concluded our 10th National Congress, which unanimously adopted a comprehensive Socialist Program. This historic step has strengthened our determination to fight for a just and equitable society and socialist transformation. We firmly believe that the outcomes of your 24th Party Congress will not only strengthen the Left and democratic movement in India but will also make a meaningful contribution to the advancement of the international communist and progressive movement, both in the region and globally.

Once again, we extend our warmest wishes for the successful conclusion of your congress.

Let us continue to stand together in our shared commitment to international solidarity, the pursuit of peace, social progress, and socialism.

With revolutionary greetings and fraternal solidarity,

Madhav Kumar Nepal

Chairman, Former Prime Minister of Nepal

Awami Workers Party, Pakistan (AWP)

GREETINGS to the Central Committee and comrades of the Communist Party of India (Marxist).

On behalf of the Federal/Central Committee of the Awami Workers Party Pakistan, I convey our warm fraternal greetings on the occasion of the 24th   Congress of the Communist Party of India (Marxist). We greet all the members of CPI(M) and reiterate our heartfelt solidarity. We believe that the communist movement in India has a long and glorious heritage inspiring the entire working class movement.

Comrades, the people of Pakistan are facing religious extremism on the one hand and the onslaught of political leadership representing feudal tribal remnants and the bourgeoisie, dominated by military establishment under the umbrella of imperialist countries. The Awami Workers Party as a party of workers, peasants and entire working people is struggling for a truly secular democratic society and a society being free from exploitation, guided by socialist orientation with Marxist Leninist ideals.

Internationally the fascist face of American and European imperialist countries is fully exposed by their naked support to Israel and the massacre of thousands of people in Gaza, Palestine, aggression in Lebanon, Syria, military support to continue war in Ukraine, expansion of NATO etc. Awami Workers Party believes that a strong anti-imperialist movement is required to stop the expansionist policies of imperialist countries. AWP supports BRICS and good friendly economic and political relations with neighbouring countries, more particularly between India, Afghanistan and Pakistan and resolution of all disputes by mutual negotiations.

Comrades, we are confident that fraternal bonds of friendship between our two parties will be further strengthened through this 24th Congress of the CPI(M). We also expect development of close fraternal relations amongst the communist and workers parties internationally and further suggest a meeting of workers and communist parties at regional level to share experiences and develop coordination with common heritage.

We wish all success for the congress.

Long live unity of the working class.

          Long live peace and friendship.

(AKHTAR HUSSAIN)

President, Awami Workers Party, Pakistan

Communist Party of Pakistan (CPP)

DEAR Comrades,

The Communist Party of Pakistan extends its cordial greetings to the 24th  Congress of the CPI(M), its delegates and the current leadership on this historic occasion.

It is 100 years of the communist movement in the Indian subcontinent, a century of struggle and fight for the working class.

We in Pakistan as the Communist party always consider ourselves as part of the Indian subcontinent communist movement and Indian Communist party as our maternal party. Despite the partition we remained connected ideologically and continued our struggle in the most difficult situation in Pakistan.

We are sharing the historical and cultural background, but above all the common ideology of Marxism-Leninism and our fight is common for the working class supremacy not only in our region but in the whole world.

Communist Party of Pakistan always advocated a good relationship between our two countries and between our people and is of strong opinion that Pakistan should have good relation with all its neighbours, especially with India.

We hope that your 24th Congress will adopt a revolutionary programme for India and the working class.

The CPI(M) will continue to play a strong role in the world communist movement and the relationship between our parties will be stronger than before.

Long live Marxism Leninism

Long live friendship and solidarity

With our fraternal greetings,

On Behalf of the CC

Communist Party of Pakistan

Communist Party of Burma (CPB)

DEAR Comrades,

We hereby send our heartfelt felicitation to the 24th Congress of the Communist Party of India (Marxist). We must admit that as a party from a nation that is deeply involved in civil war for many decades, we do appreciate and admire the condition of your party to hold congresses and reiterate the international and internal political stand of your party. Your good opportunity of being able to meet with the comrades from all over the world is also a point of our envy.

However, we acknowledge the immense efforts you must have made to organise congresses like this. Thanks to the dedication of all levels of your party and the support of the people of India, the congress has now become a reality. We are confident that it will pave the way for a brighter future and greater victories for the proletariat world over.

Long Live the Communist Party of India (Marxist)!
