Protest against Israeli Attacks on Gaza

HUNDREDS of people gathered at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi on March 21, to participate in a protest organised by the Palestine Solidarity Organisation against Israel’s brutal attacks on Gaza. The demonstration saw significant participation from students, who raised their voices against the atrocities committed by Israel on the Palestinian people.

Addressing the protest, CPI(M) Polit Bureau member Subhashini Ali sharply criticised the Indian government’s silence on the ongoing Israeli aggression. She condemned Israel’s violation of the ceasefire and the continuous massacre of innocent civilians in Gaza. She further denounced the imperialist support from the United States, calling the killing of civilians and children a crime against humanity.

CPI(ML) General Secretary Dipankar Bhattacharya also addressed the protest, denouncing Israeli aggression and urging the global community to stand in solidarity with Palestine. He stated that the people of India have always opposed oppression and injustice, and today, they continue to stand with Palestine.

Senior CPI leader Aziz Pasha, noted academic Achin Vinayak, and leaders from over ten mass organisations participated in the protest. They strongly condemned Israel’s attacks and expressed their solidarity with the Palestinian struggle. The speakers demanded that the Indian government must take a firm stance against Israeli aggression and explicitly reaffirm its unflinching support for the Palestinian people. They also urged the government to halt arms supplies to Israel and stop sending Indian workers to Israel.

The Palestine Solidarity Organisation calls upon all peace-loving people in India and around the world to raise their voices against Israeli aggression and support the struggle of the Palestinian people.
