AT the call of CPI(M) Delhi state c ommittee, protest demonstrations were held in many areas of Delhi NCR on July 7,  2024 against the back breaking price rise of vegetables, fruits and milk. The protesters raised slogans against the policies of the central government which promotes forward trading, hoarding and accused the government of ignoring the problems of the common people.

The protesters also alleged that the Aam Aadmi Party government of Delhi is maintaining silence in this difficult period and is not taking any concrete steps to solve the problems of the people. CPI(M) demanded that the people should be given relief through an efficient public distribution system and market intervention. The CPI(M) Delhi state committee urged the government to take necessary steps to control inflation and provide relief to the general public.
