Rajasthan: Protest over Inaction in Tribal Girl's Assault Case

IN a shocking incident in Hindaun city, Karauli district, Rajasthan, a minor mute and deaf tribal girl was raped and set on fire on May 9, 2024. It is a matter of sorrow and shame that more than a month has passed, but the BJP government led by Bhajan Lal Sharma has not taken any action yet. The rapists and murderers are still roaming free, and the family's pleas have gone unheard. In support of the protest, members of the Adivasi Adhikar Manch, including Dulichand Meena, Gautam Damor, Vimal Bhargora, Sagar Meena, and state general secretary of the All India Democratic Women's Association, Seema Jain, along with Raisa, Neeraj Chauhan, state general secretary of the Agricultural Workers’ Union, Durga Swami, state general secretary of the Kisan Sabha and CPI(M) state secretariat member Chhaganlal Chaudhary, Harishankar Mandia, Jaipur district secretary of CPI(M) Sanjay Madhav, CPI(M) state secretariat member Sumitra Chopra, and SFI's Yuvraj Singh, have reached out to the family and assured them of their support in the struggle until the culprits are apprehended and brought to justice.
