Mahila Mahapanchayat in Support of Women Wrestlers
A Mahila Panchayat was held on June 14, in New Delhi, in support of the protesting women wrestlers. Various organisations including AIDWA are actively participating in it. AIDWA all India president PK Sreemathy, all India vice presidents Jagmati Sangwan, Subhashini Ali, treasurer S Punyavathi, JMS delhi secretary Asha Sharma and president Maimoona Mollah took part in it. The meeting called on people to extend solidarity and stand in support of the wrestlers. It demanded immediate arrest of the accused, Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh.
