CPI(M)’s Greetings on the 75th National Day of Vietnam

Below we publish the text of the greetings sent by the Communist Party of India (Marxist) to the Communist Party of Vietnam, on December 7, on the occasion of the 75th National Day of Vietnam

CENTRAL Committee
Communist Party of Vietnam

Dear Comrades,

On behalf of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) we greet the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) and through it, the government of Vietnam on the occasion of the 75th National Day. We also take this opportunity to greet the people of Vietnam on this joyful and momentous occasion.

We are happy to note the manner in which Vietnam was able to control the spread of Covid-19 pandemic with minimum loss of human lives and damage to the economy. The steps taken by the government of Vietnam have won laurels around the world and showcased the superiority of socialist system over capitalism.

Under the leadership of the CPV, the people of Vietnam had successfully defeated both the French and US imperialist forces, liberated the country, unified it and are now rapidly progressing on the path of building a modern, prosperous, socialist society. Vietnam is one of the few countries in the world that is witnessing economic growth, reduction in poverty, unemployment and inequalities. All these achievements are possible because of its commitment to the principles of Marxism-Leninism and adherence to the ideals of Comrade Ho Chi Minh.

Generations of youth in our country are inspired by the heroic anti-imperialist struggle led by the CPV and the people of Vietnam. The CPI(M) played its due role in organising solidarity with the people of Vietnam. The slogan, ‘My Name, Your Name, Vietnam, Vietnam’, expresses the strong bonds of friendship that were built between the peoples’ of our two countries and exists even to this day.

Our two parties – CPV and CPI(M) – share strong fraternal relations that stood firm amidst testing times. We take this occasion to reiterate our resolve to further strengthen the bonds of friendship between the people of our two countries and also between our two parties.

We have also been noting with appreciation the strengthening of ties between the two governments of India and Vietnam and sincerely hope that these would be beneficial to the people of our two great lands.

We once again take this opportunity to greet you and all the people of Vietnam and wish you all the success in your endeavors to establish a modern, prosperous, socialist country.

In Revolutionary Solidarity,

Central Committee
Communist Party of India (Marxist)
