Election Campaign in Telangana

Kambhampati Sarma

CPI(M) Polit Bureau member, B V Raghavulu said that both the TRS and the BJP governments are working against the tribals and are putting them in difficulties. He further said that the people of the country need a ruler who safeguards their interests and not a chowkidar who works for the benefit of the corporates.  Prime Minister Narendra Modi is chowkidar only for Ambanis and Adanis. He is using the name of the armed forces in the election campaign, which is most dangerous. He made these comments in public meetings in support of B Venkat, CPI(M) candidate contesting from the Khammam parliament seat. B V Raghvulu also participated in election rallies of  CPI candidate from Mahabubabad parliament constituency on April 4.

People who for the sake of positions and contracts do opportunist politics are not qualified to criticise communists, retorted CPI(M ) state secretary, T Veerabhadram.  Speaking in favour of  B Venkat, he participated in a motorbike rally in Vaira, Konijarla and Kareplly mandals.  If elected as MP of Khammam, B Venkat said that he will work with commitment for the solution of problems of the people and the region. In Khammam district, the elections are happening between corporate forces and ordinary social workers.  Telangana CPI(M) state secretariat member, M Saibabu participated in a public meeting in support of  B Venkat in Bhadradri district. CPI state leader Kunamneni Sambasiva Rao also spoke on the occasion.

IN NALGONDA CONSTITUENCY

He was speaking in the public meeting on  April 7 in Nalgonda‚Äôs  Devarakonda town, in support of CPI(M) candidate Mallu Lakshmi . If voice of dissent is not heard in parliament, problems will not get solved, said CPI(M)  candidate, Mallu Lakshmi. She conducted house-to-house campaign in the constituency.  She campaigned on April 6 at A C College grounds, meeting walkers and other sections of the people. She said that she will continue the heritage of earlier candidates elected from Nalgonda and Miryalaguda, seniors and fighters like Bheemi  Reddy Narasimha Reddy, Bommagani Dharma  Bhiksham, and  Suravaram Sudhakar Reddy who have led these constituencies.
