The Central Committee of the Communist Party of India (Marxist), now in session at New Delhi, has issued the following statements on November 14, 2015. THE Central Committee of the CPI(M) strongly condemns the terror attacks at least at six places in Paris that have already claimed over 145 innocent lives. The recent spate of terror attacks in Baghdad, Beirut and now Paris appear to be related to US/NATO military interventions. The Central Committee of the CPI(M) deeply mourns the death of innocent people in these terror attacks and condemns such barbaric terror. Tamilnadu Floods The Central Committee of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) expresses its deep condolences to the families of over 108 people who have died due to unprecedented floods that continue to ravage parts of Tamilnadu. Districts of Cuddalore, Thiruvallur, Kanchipuram, Kanyakumari and areas of Chennai city are severely inundated. The Central Committee of the CPI(M) calls upon the central government to provide all necessary assistance, monetary, food supplies and other needs to the state government urgently. This should be done on humanitarian grounds immediately.
